Our signature blend is a meal-balancing essential that fills the common nutritional gaps in homemade dog food, in one simple step. This highly palatable, whole foods powder is lamb and sardine based, freeze-dried to lock in the nutrients of fresh food.

Simply add Essential blend to raw or lightly cooked meat to create a balanced meal that supports your dog’s health in every way.

Adding meaty bones is optional for adult dogs; this blend is formulated to meet the minimum requirement for calcium in adult dogs with or without meaty bones, but we strongly recommend them for dental health and mental wellbeing.

Growing puppies must be fed meaty bones alongside Essential blend, to ensure they obtain the ideal balance of calcium and phosphorus for growing musculoskeletal systems. Jump on our feeding calculator to work out the specifics.

This blend can also be used as a meal topper to add important nutritional variety to any food, or to improve palatability for fussy friends.

Freeze-dried lamb liver, freeze-dried sardines, freeze-dried lamb green tripe, organic seaweed calcium (Lithothamnium sp.), organic hemp seeds, Ascophyllum nodosum, organic wheatgrass powder, turmeric, ginger.

This blend has been formulated in line with the nutritional needs of dogs of all ages, as they are set out by the National Research Council and AAFCO. Due to the variable nature of each person’s approach to DIY food, it is impossible to formulate precisely to these standards in every situation, without adding vitamin and mineral supplementation, which we won't do. That's the whole point of our products. This blend is made from 100% whole food ingredients, and we're confident that it fills the nutritional gaps typically found in a homemade diet, when used as directed.

Meal-prep with Essential blend is as simple or as complicated as you want to make it. All you need to add is muscle meat, although we encourage you to include raw meaty bones and other variety, like eggs and fresh produce.

If you plan to make you dog's food in batches, just 40g of Essential Blend creates 1kg of incredibly nutritious, homemade dog food.

If your dog can safely eat bones or if they're still growing, replace up to 20% of the muscle meat with suitable raw meaty bones, for dental health.
