This unique blend was formulated based on customer feedback, and is designed as a meal-balancing safety net for people who feed a pretty robust homemade diet. You only need half as much as our other blends, so it's our more budget-friendly option.

Vital blend is the perfect addition for novice and seasoned fresh-feeders alike, so long as you’re feeding raw meaty bones (or a calcium supplement) and some organ meats (including some liver).

It’s also perfect to use as a super nutritious meal topper on any food.

This blend combines human-grade oily fish, green goat tripe and organic superfoods, to balance homemade diets that already contain organ meat and calcium, such as those based on ratios, BARF or the 80/10/10 principles (80% muscle meat, 10% bone, 10% liver). These diets are a fantastic start, but often lacking in vitamins D and E, zinc, iodine, copper, manganese, linoleic acid, EPA and DHA, among others.

This base is nutritionist formulated and freeze-dried in small batches to lock in all of the goodness of fresh food. Vital blend is a simple one-step solution to fill common nutritional gaps, and take the stress out of preparing your dog's food.

This blend has been formulated in line with the nutritional needs of dogs of all ages, as they are set out by the National Research Council and AAFCO. Due to the variable nature of each person’s approach to DIY food, it is impossible to formulate precisely to these standards in every situation, without adding vitamin and mineral supplementation, which we won't do. That's the whole point of our products. This blend is made from 100% whole food ingredients, and we're confident that it fills the nutritional gaps typically found in a homemade diet, when used as directed.

To build a balanced meal using Vital blend, add muscle meat for the base, then 10% of the meal should be liver and around 20% raw meaty bones.

If you plan to make you dog's food in batches, just 20g of Vital blend creates 1kg of incredibly nutritious, homemade dog food.

This blend is stripped back and ideal if you already feed a homemade diet and want a simple solution for all those fiddly nutritional gaps. It’s also perfect if you’re keen to get started and are feeling a bit adventurous.
