Balanced, boneless recipe for cats
5 min read
If you’ve got a cat that can’t manage bones because they’re a bit long in the tooth, if they’ve had dental issues, or they’re just a classically rebellious creature who doesn’t fancy bones - we’ve got a free recipe for you!
It’s all good to go bone-free, BUT that doesn’t mean they can miss out on essential nutrients like calcium, especially since they have about 250 bones in their body (depending how long their tail is!) - us giant skin sacks only have a measly 206.
This no-bone kitty recipe has been adapted from our (now retired) recipe packs and is perfect for cats of all ages who prefer their meals on the softer side. It's got red meats for energy, seafood for omega-3s, heart for taurine, pumpkin seeds for essential minerals, and eggshell powder for natural calcium.
It’s a high protein, low fat option, perfect for more sedentary cats, older moggies or those needed to shift a few grams around the primordial pouch.

Don’t tell them but it’s also perfectly safe for dogs too - the main nutritional differences between cats and dogs are fairly easily addressed in a species-appropriate diet and there's nothing in here they can't both enjoy if you want to feed the whole fam together.
If you want to take the shortcut route, we recommend adding Essential Blend for Cats or Wild Blend if you're dealing with any food sensitivities, or if you have both cats and dogs to feed. Our Green Goddess topper adds some important minerals, but you can use any old greens powder if you have one handy.
